To TRANFER a personalVPN™ account to a new Windows computer or SHARE between Windows computers:

VISTA USERS...you may also need to look at #9 in FAQ if it does not connect!

NOTE If you purchase personalVPN™ after July 5th, 2008, just use the personalVPN™ Installer you downloaded to install personalVPN™ on your 2nd computer, otherwise follow instructions below.

1. Download and Install the personalVPN™ Windows software on new computer:

You can download it from HERE

2. Copy the files in the My Computer ->C:\Program Files\WiTopia.Net\config directory/folder that start with "First Name_Last Name" over to the same directory on your new computer that was created when you installed the software.

It should be a total of 3-4 files (.CSR file is optional):

First Name_Last Name.csr

First Name_Last Name.key

First name_Last Name.crt

First Name_Last Name.ovpn (in newer installs, the config file is named personalVPN.ovpn)

You should now be able to use your personalVPN™ on the new computer. If it does not connect, RESTART your machine and try again.

Using SSL VPN on Mac with Multiple User Accounts:

If you want to allow your wife, or kids to use the personal VPN under their own separate user names:

From the administrator account copy the openvpn folder in the user name libary, and copy tunnelblick from the application menu. Just make sure you don't have tunnelblick already installed in the others' account names. It is important that you copy these files into a memory stick, since the copy - paste functions do not work between account users

After copying the files, go to the respective user account and copy from the memory stick "openvpn" into the account user name/library folder, and copy "tunnelblick" to the application folder. After the installation just open tunnelblick and click connect; if all went as planned it should ask you for the paraphrase which is the password created during your account setup with Witopia.

Voilà! You should be surfing in a safe way...

If copying tunnelblick doesn't install the program, try to install the personalvpn.pkg first in these account first, and then copy the "openvpn" folder as previously described.
