Q1. Where can I get the personalVPN installer software if I no longer have a copy?
A. You can download it here.
Q2. What do I do if I get the error message "This order number, ORD200XXXXXXX, has already been registered!"
A. Go to C:\Program Files\WiTopia.Net\config and "trash" all of the files that begin with your name. Try out our new tool found here. Its pretty raw, but it will create for you a new private key (.key), signed certificate (.crt), and config file (.ovpn). All of which need to be saved in C:\Program Files\WiTopia.Net\config If you have problems with the re-doer tool, email support@witopia.net your CERTIFICATE REQUEST. We will sign it and return to you a signed certificate with instructions for activating personalVPN.
Q3. What do I do if I have a problem with your new re-doer tool?
A. We will need to process your request manually. See Question #4 (below).
Q4. How do I rerun My Certificate Wizard? (ONLY IF INSTRUCTED BY SUPPORT STAFF)
A. Go into the config directory and DELETE any files that contain your name. (Click on My Computer -> C:\Local Disk -> Program Files -> WiTopia.Net -> config)
B. RERUN "My Certificate Wizard", FILL IN the "User Information" fields, enter a new password (or leave blank) and click Create Request. (Click on Start -> All Programs -> personalVPN -> My Certificate Wizard) When you get to this screen:
Click the "copy to Clipboard" button, then go to step c.
C. Paste <Ctrl-v> the CERTIFICATE REQUEST you copied in step b into an email to support@witopia.net along with your with your ORD#. We'll sign and e-mail the certificate back to you be installed in the config directory.
